Bron Fieldwalker

I'm a principal AI engineer working on contract. I build agent harnesses, evaluations and the multi-region cloud they run on, and I'm CTO and forward-deployed AI engineer at VARAi, the operating system for agentic commerce in eyewear. Before agents, I built cloud VFX pipelines for studio work and ran datacenter infrastructure down to the fibre, so I know an application from the prompt to the rack.

    CTO & Forward-Deployed AI Engineer · VARAi

    • CTO of VARAi, the operating system for agentic commerce in eyewear, across three regions (US, EU, India).
    • Run DevOps, security and the git process for an agentic dev team: gates, rules and staging that every change must pass before production.
    • Built Lens Journey end to end: a ten-step prescription-lens configurator on a deterministic rules engine with 1,500+ tests.
    • Built AI search and recommendations (LLM intent + Redis), Material Studio with an AI Designer, and the store-sync analysis engine.
    • Cut 21 enterprise tenants over live from the EU to India with zero data loss.
    • Run development across client brands with around 150 stores live or onboarding, including a six-figure enterprise contract with a global lens manufacturer.

  2. ContractR-04

    Cloud Architect & VFX Engineer · Netflix, via Arch Platform

    • Onboarded and supported Netflix artists working remotely on Arch Platform, all on the same show from Vancouver and LA.
    • Kept both sites in sync with terabytes of data every night: parallel Python rsync scripts matched Aspera's speed without an Aspera licence.
    • Built a dashboard so artists controlled what synced.
    • Cut cloud cost by 50% with automated shutdown of idle render and workstation instances.
    • Netflix bought the system and took it in-house.

    Lead Developer & Cloud Architect · Arch Platform

    • Co-built a cloud-native, full-desktop VFX studio platform, migrated from IBM SoftLayer to AWS.
    • Render-farm autoscaling tripled studio throughput without new hardware.
    • Multi-tenant SaaS on Terraform; provisioning went from hours to minutes.
    • Led the studio security-compliance process for Disney approval.

    • Avitra Dental (healthcare AI): HIPAA-aware voice transcription pipeline, 2 hours of audio processed in 30 seconds, saving about 2 hours per dentist per day across pilot clinics.
    • Created Swarm, a multi-agent framework adopted by 2,000+ engineers at Agentics.org.
    • Contract team lead for The Internet Marketing Center: 3 internal staff and 20 contractors, launching 50 sites a month.
